Hupp Timeline

Primary focus of the business was installation of wiring and motors in grain mills, elevators and creameries.

Julian took over the business in 1938 after the passing of his father.

Business activity began to change towards the sale and repair of electric motors.

The business moved to 353 Second Ave SW due to the need for additional space.

In 1968, a devastating fire destroyed the Second Ave building.

A new facility on 33rd Ave SW was completed in 1969.

Bob Hupp took over the business in 1970 when his father Julian retired.

Kevin Hupp purchased the business in 2005 when Bob Hupp retired.

The need for additional space prompted Kevin to purchase the Kwik-Way building in Marion, IA. A 75’x200’ building was added to house our Large Motor and Rewind Departments.
